Abstract

The present paper aims to carry out a comparative study in the development of executive functions in music students and various disciplines, as well as to reflect on its approach over time. For this, a non-experimental cross-sectional research design is carried out, which allows to analyze neuropsychological aspects present in music students and various disciplines. The executive functions developed in the brain and music share a great diversification of qualities and elements that define them as an artistic and universal study that transmits and interprets various emotions, reactions and produces the evocation of memories, to which it is essential to add that education Musical can produce significant structural changes at the prefrontal cortex level in relation to the development of executive functions in people, generating not only emotional and affective well-being but also as a fundamental part with health implications.
