Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Podrán ser enviados ensayos que contengan análisis y/o comentarios críticos con respecto a libros de no más de tres años de haberse publicado, y que sean referentes en los estudios relacionados a las temáticas de la revista. Los trabajos en este caso deberán tener una extensión máxima de 2 mil palabras, y presentarse en formato Word, en letra Times New Roman, a 12 puntos, interlineado doble.

 El Artista recibe aportaciones que refieran hallazgos significativos en artes, cultura y patrimonio cultural, desde documentos histórico-culturales hasta obras de arte y literarias, así como partituras y/o partichelas, siempre y cuando se acompañen de un estudio ad hoc que las inscriba en un contexto o corriente artística o cultural específica. La extensión de los trabajos debe estar entre 5 mil a 8 mil palabras para el caso del análisis crítico del documento u obra artística en cuestión, y presentarse en formato Word, en letra Times New Roman, a 12 puntos, interlineado doble.
